Kicking off the Path of the Ninja series is Naruto: Konoha Ninpōchō, a 2003 release exclusive to Japan's Bandai WonderSwan Color handheld system. This console, launched in 1999, remained regionally exclusive, limiting the game's reach. The game centers around the Land of Waves arc, incorporating additional missions for Team 7.

  1. Naruto: Konoha Senki (2003)

Another Japan-only title, Naruto: Konoha Senki, developed by Tomy for the Game Boy Advance, arrived in 2003. The game adapts the first 70 anime episodes, encompassing the Land of Waves and Chūnin Exams arcs. Initially, players control only Team 7 and Kakashi, with additional characters unlockable later.

Interestingly, Naruto: Path of the Ninja is the third entry. Also from Tomy, this 2004 release initially launched on the Nintendo DS in Japan before receiving a Game Boy Advance port for international distribution. The game covers early anime arcs, culminating in the Chūnin Exams.

Despite its numbering, Naruto RPG 2: Chidori vs. Rasengan is a direct sequel to Path of the Ninja. Released in 2005 by Tomy for the Nintendo DS, this Japan-exclusive game follows the Search for Tsunade arc, concluding with Sasuke's escape from Konoha.

  1. Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 (2006)

Concluding the series is Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2, another Tomy production. Initially released in Japan in 2006, it saw a global Nintendo DS launch in 2008. Unlike its predecessors, this game features an original, non-canon storyline centered around the Three Ryūdōin Brothers and a unique Anbu ally character.

These five games, while uniquely titled, collectively form the Naruto: Path of the Ninja series, offering diverse gameplay experiences within the Naruto universe.
