New Monster Outbreak Feature Coming to Monster Hunter Now

Calling all Monster Hunter Now veterans who've been craving a greater challenge - Niantic is answering your call! The upcoming Monster Outbreak feature, currently in testing from April 26-27, is designed to push hunters to their absolute limits.

What is a Monster Outbreak?

During these limited-time events, hunters will encounter massive hordes of a single monster species concentrated in specific locations. To participate, you must:

• Be physically present in the outbreak area
• Team up with other hunters (solo hunting won't cut it!)
• Work together to eliminate 100 monsters

Exclusive Rewards Await

Participants can sign up through the event roster to earn a special hunter medal. Successful outbreak clears grant valuable monster parts and other rare materials. The inaugural outbreak will feature the formidable eight-star Black Diablos as the sole target monster - a true test of skill for even the most experienced hunters.

As this is currently a trial run, Niantic encourages all participants to share their feedback through official community channels. The developer wants to know if these high-intensity hunting scenarios should become a permanent addition to the game.
