Monster Hunter & Digimon Celebrate 20 Years with Limited Edition V-Pet

To mark Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom and Bandai have teamed up to release the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition." This special edition of the popular Digimon V-Pet features designs based on the iconic Rathalos and Zinogre monsters. Each device is priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.2 USD), excluding shipping and other potential fees.

This collectible V-Pet boasts a vibrant color LCD screen, utilizes UV printing technology for detailed designs, and includes a rechargeable battery. Gamers can expect familiar features like customizable backgrounds, plus a new "Cold Mode" that temporarily suspends monster growth, hunger, and strength stats. A handy backup system ensures progress is saved securely.

Japan-Only Pre-Orders, Global Release Uncertain

Pre-orders for the Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition are currently open through Bandai's official Japanese online store. However, it's important to note that these are Japanese releases, meaning international buyers may face additional import costs.

Demand is already high, with the devices reportedly selling out shortly after the announcement. The initial pre-order window closes today, November 23rd, at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET).
