Important Considerations:
- Console Only: Split-screen functionality is exclusive to consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch). PC users are unfortunately excluded.
- HD Resolution: Ensure your TV or monitor supports at least 720p HD resolution for optimal split-screen performance. Your console must also support this resolution. HDMI connection is recommended for automatic resolution adjustment; VGA may require manual configuration within your console's settings.

Local Split-Screen Multiplayer (Up to 4 Players):

- Connect & Launch: Connect your console to your HD-capable display using an HDMI cable. Launch Minecraft.
- Singleplayer Setup: Create a new world or load an existing one. Crucially, disable the multiplayer option in the game settings.
- World Settings: Choose your difficulty, game mode, and world settings as desired.
- Activate Players: Once the game loads, activate additional player slots. The specific button varies by console (e.g., "Options" on PS, "Start" on Xbox). You may need to press this button twice.
- Login & Play: Each player logs into their respective account and joins the game. The screen will automatically split into sections (2-4 players).

While you can't directly split-screen with online players, you can combine local split-screen with online players.
