Another major Xbox exclusive is making its way to the PlayStation 5, and it's none other than Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Following a new trailer debut at today's PlayStation State of Play, the latest iteration of Microsoft Flight Simulator is set to launch on Sony's console on December 8, 2025.

The trailer also confirmed that PlayStation VR2 support is in development. This feature won't be available at launch but is planned as a free update in 2026.

"To deliver an exceptional PlayStation experience, we fully utilized the immersive features of the DualSense wireless controller," wrote Microsoft Flight Simulator lead Jorg Neumann in a PlayStation Blog post. "Adaptive triggers react to varying speeds and ground surfaces, offering graduated resistance during flight.

"Air traffic control communications are routed through the controller speaker, recreating the authentic cockpit atmosphere. Gyro controls, lightbar support, and a customizable touchpad further deepen the in-flight immersion."

Once again developed by Asobo Studio in collaboration with Microsoft Game Studios, PlayStation 5 owners of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will receive the most current version of the game, including the same free World Updates and Sim Updates available on PC and Xbox.
