Microsoft unveils the exciting Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup! This follows the announcement on Xbox Wire, preceding Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, where several day-one Game Pass titles will be showcased, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed fourth game.

The January 2025 Wave 2 begins January 21st with the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Master the mountain in this snowy sequel, featuring up to eight-player cross-platform multiplayer.

January 22nd brings a flurry of additions: Flock (Console) arrives on Game Pass Standard, a multiplayer co-op game about collecting adorable flying creatures. Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering a 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a Japanese-inspired action strategy game, also lands on Game Pass Standard. Rounding out the day, Magical Delicacy (Console), Tchia (Xbox Series X|S), The Case of the Golden Idol (Console), and Starbound (Cloud and Console) – already available on PC Game Pass – join Game Pass Standard and/or Ultimate.

Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC), a day-one release from Yellow Brick Games, and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a third-person shooter and trap defense game, both hit Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 28th.

January 29th sees the arrival of Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Then, on January 30th, Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) launches as a day-one Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass title.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) makes its day-one debut on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass January 31st. Finally, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on February 4th.
