Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will reportedly retain the suggestive and sexual content present in the original Metal Gear Solid 3, including the infamous Peep Demo Theatre, according to an official age rating.

Although developer Konami has not officially confirmed whether this controversial content remains unchanged in the remake, the U.S. Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated the game as Mature 17+ for its depiction of intense realism in combat, including gunfire, cries of pain, bloody scenes, and "suggestive/sexual content."

The ESRB further details the game's mature themes, noting that cutscenes contain graphic depictions of violence and bloodshed, such as a restrained character being beaten and electrocuted, a character shot in the eye, and another set on fire and shot multiple times.

In addition, the ESRB highlights the presence of "suggestive/sexual content," which includes scenes such as a man groping a woman’s breasts, close-up camera angles showing deep cleavage, a character briefly touching a man’s groin, and the inclusion of the Peep Demo Theatre. This feature, originally from the Subsistence and HD Collection versions of Metal Gear Solid 3, allows players to manipulate camera controls during a specific cutscene featuring Eva in her underwear. It was unlocked by completing the game four times.

Konami has officially announced that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater releases on August 28. The studio also shared a new teaser trailer, which confirms that the beloved Snake vs. Monkey minigame returns as part of the package.

In our Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater preview, IGN noted that the project feels more like a high-definition remaster than a full-fledged remake, especially considering the game’s new first-person perspective for protagonist Snake. “Metal Gear Solid Delta seems more like a very shiny HD remaster than the elegant remake it could have been,” the preview reads. “It’s an admittedly beautiful nostalgia trip, but almost faithful to a fault.”
