NetEase Games is making significant adjustments to the Marvel Rivals post-launch roadmap, aiming to enhance the live service momentum by shortening season lengths and introducing new heroes more frequently. This pivotal update was highlighted in the Marvel Rivals Season 2 Dev Vision Vol. 5 video, which revealed that Season 2 will kick off on April 11 with the introduction of the new Vanguard, Emma Frost, followed by Ultron mid-season.

Starting with Season 3, whose release date is yet to be announced, seasons will be reduced from three months to two, accelerating the pace of major content updates. Despite the shorter seasons, NetEase will maintain its commitment to releasing at least one new hero every half-season. This means players will enjoy a quicker turnaround on new heroes, enhancing the game's dynamic nature.

In the Dev Vision video, Marvel Rivals creative director Guangyun Chen emphasized the team's dedication to providing a continuously engaging experience. "Since the launch of Season 1, we’ve been deeply contemplating how Marvel Rivals can continuously deliver fun and engaging experience for you all," Chen stated. He acknowledged the pressure from social media feedback and the team's goal to keep the game as thrilling as it was during its initial release in December.

Chen also expressed NetEase's ambition to fulfill players' fantasies about Marvel Super Heroes by introducing new modes and a diverse roster of characters. After thorough internal discussions and evaluations, NetEase plans to adjust its systems to accommodate the increased content flow.
