Marvel Rivals Dev Promises a New Hero Every Month and a Half

May 26,25(9 months ago)

NetEase Games has exciting news for fans of Marvel Rivals, revealing plans to introduce a new hero every month and a half with each new season. This was shared by the studio's creative director, Guangyun Chen, in an interview with Metro. Chen emphasized their commitment to enhancing the game experience, stating, "Every season we’ll be rolling out fresh seasonal stories, new maps, and new heroes. We’ll actually be breaking down each season into two halves. The length of one season is three months. And for each half of the season, we will introduce a new hero."

This approach promises to keep the community engaged and eager for what's next. As each season concludes, fans are left wondering which hero will be introduced next. Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls set a strong precedent by launching with Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman for the first half, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch for the second half. These iconic characters have undoubtedly contributed to the game's initial success, but maintaining that excitement over time will be a significant challenge.

The game initially launched with an impressive roster featuring heroes like Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm. Speculation is rife about future additions, with characters like Blade rumored for Season 2, and fans are hopeful for the inclusion of Daredevil, Deadpool, and other X-Men members. Given the game's success, NetEase Games shows no signs of slowing down in expanding the Marvel Rivals universe.

Alongside new heroes, Marvel Rivals Season 1 also introduced numerous balance changes and gameplay tweaks, with more updates promised in the future.
