For generations, Nintendo has created some of gaming's most iconic franchises. Below, I've selected 18 of their most celebrated series - from Super Mario to Zelda - to rank based purely on my personal enjoyment.
Yes, this could easily expand to hundreds of titles, but let's keep it focused. We all have our favorites (sorry Kirby fans) and those that never quite clicked.
Unsurprisingly, Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda claim S-tier spots as two of gaming's most influential and consistently brilliant franchises. Meanwhile... I anticipate some debate about Super Smash Bros.' C-tier placement.
Before the pitchforks come out - hear me out. Fighting games were never my genre, and while many formed childhood memories with Smash Bros. parties, I was busy enjoying other multiplayer experiences like TimeSplitters and Guitar Hero. I simply lack that nostalgic connection so many share.
