Now, prepare for a completely modern—yet equally imposing—new ally as Hafthor Bjornsson, the World's Strongest Man, joins the game as a playable Champion and Advisor.

Hafthor is best known for winning the 2018 World's Strongest Man competition and playing The Mountain in HBO's Game of Thrones. He's a larger-than-life figure (literally, he’s enormous). From June 16th to June 30th, you can unlock Hafthor free of charge as a massive, battle-hardened warrior.

You’ll also receive faction-exclusive missions that challenge you to leverage his raw power. As you progress, Hafthor will transition into a late-game Advisor, providing battle-tested guidance when you need it most.

The Mighty (Haf)Thor

Hafthor’s arrival also introduces Thor’s Mighty Challenge, a new battle pass filled with rewards. These include an army cosmetic set and rally march customizations—all themed after the strongman. Gameloft also announced that Hafthor will serve as a brand ambassador soon, giving March of Empires a powerful boost.
