The stress test for Baldur's Gate III's eighth, and possibly final, major patch has begun. While some Sony console players received early access, players who haven't already participated are advised to reinstall the game for the best stress test experience.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play between PC and consoles. Players with linked Larian accounts can now invite friends regardless of their platform. Even modded gameplay is supported, provided all mods used by the PC player are available on Mac and consoles, and the host's lobby doesn't exceed ten mods.

Xbox Series S users will be thrilled to learn that split-screen co-op is finally being tested. This feature was previously unavailable on this console.

Beyond multiplayer, Patch 8 boasts a fully customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, significantly enhancing gameplay variety.
