LEGO has officially announced nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to debut on May 1, 2025. This release aligns with Disney’s annual May the 4th celebration—better known as Star Wars Day—where LEGO traditionally unveils a new Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) starship. In previous years, fans enjoyed builds like Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024.

This year’s spotlight goes to Jango Fett’s Firespray-class starship, widely recognized by longtime fans as Slave I. As seen on the [LEGO Store](#), this iconic vessel returns with a refreshed design and modernized branding. The name change was initiated by Disney in 2021 (confirmed by LEGO)—likely due to brand sensitivity around the term “slave.” Four years later, the updated name appears to be permanent.

The last major version of this ship was released in 2019 as part of a 20th-anniversary set featuring 1,007 pieces and modeled after its appearance in *Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back*. The new LEGO set is based on the ship’s look in *Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones*, and it comes with an impressive 2,970 pieces—nearly triple the count of its predecessor. When built, it stands 7.5 inches tall, stretches 17.5 inches long, and spans 15.5 inches wide.
