Embracer Group has announced phenomenal sales figures for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, reporting sales nearing the 2 million mark just ten days after its February 4th launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game achieved an impressive 1 million sales on its first day alone, nearly doubling that figure in a remarkably short timeframe. This success is particularly noteworthy on Steam, where the game boasted over 250,000 peak concurrent players—a significant leap compared to the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 seven years prior. While the actual peak concurrent player count is undoubtedly higher due to console sales, those figures remain undisclosed by Sony and Microsoft.

Embracer, parent company of Warhorse Studios via its subsidiary Plaion, described Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's launch as a resounding success, praising both player and critical reception alongside strong sales performance. CEO Lars Wingefors highlighted the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver, expressing confidence in continued strong revenue generation over the coming years. He cited the game's immersive quality and appeal as key factors, further emphasizing a robust roadmap of updates and new content planned for the next 12 months.

Beyond Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Embracer anticipates the release of Killing Floor 3 later this quarter (January-March 2025). The company boasts over 5,000 game developers working on its pipeline, including 10 triple-A titles slated for release over the next three fiscal years (FY 2025/26, FY 2026/27, and FY 2027/28). Eight of these originate from internal studios, with the remaining two from external partners. FY 2025/26 will see two triple-A releases towards the year's end, alongside several mid-size titles including Gothic 1 Remake, REANIMAL, Fellowship, Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, Titan Quest II, Screamer, Echoes of the End (working title), Tides of Tomorrow, Satisfactory (console), and the full release of Wreckfest 2, with additional unannounced mid-sized games also in development.

Embracer's recent history has included significant restructuring, involving staff reductions and the sale of several studios. However, the company retains ownership of 4A Games, currently developing a new entry in the Metro series.
