When King of Crabs splashed onto the scene in 2019, its unique blend of battle royale action and crustacean charm quickly won over gamers. Now, the creative minds at Robot Squid are diving back into the world of crab warfare with a more ambitious project: King of Crabs – Invasion.

From Epic Crab Battle Royale to Epic Crab Warfare

In this new iteration, Robot Squid has shifted gears from the frenetic battle royale format to a more strategic real-time strategy (RTS) experience. Instead of dropping into a chaotic tidepool with 99 other players, you now command your crab forces in a more structured battlefield. The essence of leading crabs into combat remains, but the gameplay is transformed into a mini RTS where strategy is key.

In King of Crabs – Invasion, you strategically deploy units along a linear battlefield. You have various options at your disposal, including standard crab soldiers, catapults, and even mace-wielding tanks with claws. The objective is to overwhelm your opponent before they can do the same to you, taking into account the map and any random obstacles that come your way.

King of Crabs – Invasion Is on Android

The game is already available in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore. For players around the globe, King of Crabs – Invasion will launch on Android on May 30th, which is just three days away. This new title serves as a spin-off from the original game.

Speaking of the original, King of Crabs was the debut title from Robot Squid, a British indie studio founded in 2018. In collaboration with Spilt Milk Studios, they released the game in 2020 across Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS platforms. At its peak, the game was even dubbed "Fortnite with claws" due to its massive popularity.
