The "Heart of Valor" quest in Avowed presents a difficult choice regarding Keipo and the Leviathan Heart. After discovering Keipo's deception about his partner Umpara's death and his affliction with the Dreamscourge, the player must decide whether to grant Keipo his wish. This decision significantly impacts the quest's outcome and available loot.

Should You Give Keipo the Heart?

The optimal strategy is to not give Keipo the Leviathan Heart. This path unlocks the opportunity to acquire all possible rewards. Before making this choice, ensure you've found and read Keipo's Weathered Journal (located near the Leviathan Heart).

Rewards:

• Giving the Heart: You receive Umpara's Spear, an Exceptional Quality weapon with poison dart and critical hit damage abilities. See stats in the table below.

• Not Giving the Heart: You obtain the complete Stormdancer armor set (helmet, gloves, boots, ring), and retain the Leviathan Heart as a unique trinket (+20% attack damage, but with health drain). See stats in the table below. To receive the full armor set, select the correct dialogue options with Chiko (detailed later).

To obtain all loot (Umpara's Spear, Stormdancer armor, and the Leviathan Heart), follow these dialogue choices precisely:

With Keipo:

1. "We need to talk. Now."
2. "Come clean. Chiko told me you want to end your life."
3. "We wouldn’t be having this conversation if you had the Dreamscourge."
4. "I’m sorry. I can’t give you the heart."
5. "I respect your choice. But I can’t be a part of it."
6. "Listen. I…I know what happened to Umpara."
7. "And? Why didn’t you tell the truth?"
8. "That’s why you really trapped the ruins. So no one would find out."
9. "No. The truth would do more harm than good."

With Chiko:

1. "Don’t worry. It’s right here with me."
2. "He wanted to take his own life with it. Chiko stepped in to prevent that."
3. "Let me hold onto it. I’ll take it far away and keep it safe."
4. "[Lie] No, that was all."
5. “Uh…about that. He’s not just sick. It’s the Dreamscourge.”
6. “He wanted to die before he turned. He was trying to keep you safe.”
7. “There is one way. We just stopped him from doing it.”
