Reiterating previous statements, Fares underscored Hazelight's unwavering commitment to a model free from live-service elements and microtransactions. The studio’s independence remains paramount; they have no plans to go public or be acquired by a larger company. As Fares stated, "We're not going public. No microtransactions. We focus solely on delivering great gaming experiences."

In a conversation with MinnMax, Fares revealed that Split Fiction's core narrative clocks in at approximately 12-14 hours, mirroring the playtime of their acclaimed It Takes Two. With optional missions and extra content included, players can anticipate a total playtime stretching to 16-17 hours.

While Hazelight is renowned for its cooperative experiences, Fares hinted at the potential for future single-player ventures. He also disclosed that Split Fiction's budget is double that of It Takes Two, yet the studio has opted against post-launch DLC, guaranteeing a complete experience from launch day. Split Fiction will launch worldwide on March 6th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
