Jason Sudeikis Confirms Ted Lasso Season 4 Coming Soon
Fans of the heartwarming Apple TV+ series, *Ted Lasso*, have reason to celebrate as star and producer Jason Sudeikis officially confirmed that Season 4 is in the works. The announcement came during a lively chat on the *New Heights* sports podcast hosted by NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. In a snippet from the latest episode, the brothers eagerly pressed Sudeikis for news following the conclusion of Season 3 in the summer of 2023.
Sudeikis revealed, "That’s what we’re writing. We’re writing Season 4 now. That’s the official word, yeah. Ted’s coaching a women’s team." This exciting update, the first in nearly two years, offers much-needed relief to fans eager to see more of the feel-good soccer series. However, details such as whether this will be the final season or the setting remain under wraps. Even Travis Kelce couldn't extract more information from Sudeikis, who playfully dodged the question about Ted's potential return to the U.S., saying, "Yeah, that’s too many questions, and that’s only because I don’t know."
According to Deadline, Juno Temple, who plays Keeley, is in negotiations to return, while Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are confirmed to reprise their roles as Rebecca, Roy, and Leslie, respectively. Sources indicate that filming for the first episode of Season 4 will commence in Kansas City before moving back to the UK, with production slated to start in July.
Apple TV+ is actively working to rekindle interest in *Ted Lasso*. Although a release date and plot details remain undisclosed, the show's official X/Twitter account has reemerged with a humorous post, saying, "Finally found the dang password to this thing. Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?" This playful nod to the show's unexpected hiatus further fuels anticipation for the upcoming season.
The last significant update on *Ted Lasso* came in the summer of 2024 when Deadline reported that Season 4 was nearing greenlight status.
