InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has revealed details about the unique supernatural features that will be part of the game.

According to Game Director Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, players will even be able to take limited control of ghosts, ensuring the feature enhances rather than overwhelms the core experience. This system is connected to a karma mechanic that records each character's actions and shapes their future lives in meaningful ways. Interestingly, this influence continues even after death.

Specifically, the karma system and a character's life choices determine their fate after death: they can pass peacefully into the afterlife or remain as a ghost trapped among the living. To move on from the mortal world, a ghost must gather the karma points it lacks.

In the early access version of InZOI, ghosts will already be present, though players will not be able to control them—this ability will arrive in a later update. The developer stressed that InZOI is primarily a life simulation game, so supernatural elements will be used sparingly. However, the team hinted that additional mysterious phenomena could be introduced to InZOI down the line.
