Invincible: The Most Important New Characters to Expect in Season 3

As the highly anticipated Invincible: Season 3 approaches, Prime Video has unveiled an exciting new lineup of voice actors set to join the series. Among them are Aaron Paul as Powerplex, John DiMaggio as The Elephant, and Simu Liu as Dupli-Kate's brother Multi-Paul. However, the most intriguing additions to the cast are Jonathan Banks and Doug Bradley, whose roles remain shrouded in mystery. Prime Video's decision to keep these roles under wraps suggests significant plot developments on the horizon for Season 3. Let's delve into the potential characters these actors might portray and explore the evolving storyline involving Christian Convery's character, Oliver.

*Warning: some basic plot spoilers for the Invincible comic ahead!*

PlayJonathan Banks as Conquest --------------------------

Jonathan Banks, renowned for his role in Breaking Bad, is set to join Invincible: Season 3, though his character remains undisclosed by Prime Video. Given Banks' knack for portraying tough, battle-hardened characters, it's highly likely he will voice Conquest, a formidable Viltrumite villain introduced in Invincible #61 in 2009. Conquest is known for his strength and battle scars, embodying the essence of a seasoned warrior. His arrival on Earth follows a devastating conflict, presenting Mark Grayson with an ultimatum: conquer Earth for the Viltrumite Empire or face death at Conquest's hands. This sets the stage for one of the most intense battles in Mark's journey, a confrontation teased in Season 2 as Mark grapples with his father's legacy.

Who Is Doug Bradley Playing in Invincible Season 3?

Doug Bradley, famous for his chilling portrayal of Pinhead in the Hellraiser series, is another mysterious addition to the cast. Given his history with horror, it's reasonable to assume he'll voice a villain. Two potential characters stand out: Dinosaurus, introduced in Invincible #68, and Grand Regent Thragg, a pivotal antagonist in the series. Dinosaurus, with his mission to heal the world from human-induced damage, could benefit from Bradley's distinctive voice, adding depth to this visually striking character. On the other hand, Thragg, the ruler of the Viltrumite Empire and a master of combat, would be an ideal fit for Bradley's menacing presence. While Thragg might not feature prominently in Season 3, his introduction could set the stage for future confrontations.

PlayChristian Convery’s Oliver Grayson -----------------------------------

Season 2 introduced us to Oliver Grayson, Mark's half-brother, born to Nolan on Thraxa. Oliver's unique heritage as half-Thraxan and half-Viltrumite results in accelerated aging, a key plot point in Season 3. By the time Season 3 rolls around, Oliver, now portrayed by Christian Convery, will have aged from a toddler to a preteen, showcasing his rapid development. His powers are already manifesting, far quicker than Mark's did, and he's eager to follow in his father and brother's footsteps. Oliver will adopt the codename Kid Omni-Man, joining Invincible in battle and adding a new dynamic to the series. Mark's role as a mentor to Oliver will be crucial, as he navigates the responsibilities of being a hero while protecting his family.
