Infinity Nikki Delays V1.6 Launch After Community Outcry
After weeks of players demanding clarity, the Infinity Nikki development team has finally addressed the community's concerns. As many players suspected, the Version 1.5 update, released on April 28th, was not fully polished at launch. The result? A wave of bugs, broken quests, and performance issues that impacted gameplay across platforms—including PS—that ultimately led to the decision to delay Version 1.6.
When Is Version 1.6 Releasing?
Originally slated for a June 4th release, Version 1.6 has now been officially postponed to June 12th. To fill the gap, the current Bubble Season will be extended until the new update launches.
This means events such as Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? will remain active through June 12th. Stores like Pear-Pal Selected / Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will also stay open. Weekly tasks including Starlit Pursuit, previously scheduled for May 20th, have likewise been shifted to Version 1.6.
In their public statement, the developers issued an apology and acknowledged challenges in optimizing game performance. They confirmed that key storylines—like Threads of Reunion—are still in development and will arrive with future updates.
Beyond the Delay – What Else is Happening in Infinity Nikki?
The game has recently been plagued by technical issues, including co-op malfunctions and unstable quest systems. As part of damage control, the dev team is offering daily login compensation from June 5th to June 12th: 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day (claimable only by logging in daily).
However, some players are skeptical, viewing this gesture as a last-ditch effort to retain engagement after a rocky patch. Adding fuel to the fire, promotional banners for new outfits began appearing shortly after the apology post went live, sparking frustration among fans who feel the timing was insensitive.
