Smite 2's Open Beta Launch: January 14th, 2025

Get ready! Smite 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular MOBA, launches its free-to-play open beta on January 14th, 2025. This marks a significant milestone for the Unreal Engine 5-powered game, initially unveiled in 2024 after a decade-long wait.

This open beta release will feature a wealth of new content, including:

• Aladdin: The first God from the Tales of Arabia pantheon, debuting alongside the open beta. This Magical Assassin and Jungler boasts unique wall-running and lamp-trapping abilities.

• Returning Favorites: Popular Gods from the original Smite, such as Mulan, Geb, Ullr, and Agni, are making a comeback with updated skill sets.

• Expanded God Roster: The initial 14 Gods from the Alpha will expand to nearly 50 by January 2025.

• New Game Modes: Experience the thrill of Joust (3v3) and Duel (1v1), both featuring a new Arthurian-themed map with teleporters and stealth grass.

• Aspects System: A revolutionary gameplay mechanic allowing players to sacrifice a God's ability for a powerful bonus. Twenty Gods will initially feature Aspects, with more to come.

• Quality-of-Life Improvements: Smite 2 will introduce numerous enhancements, including role guides, improved in-game messaging, PC text chat, enhanced item stores, and detailed death recaps.

The open beta will showcase approximately 45 dynamic Gods, 20 of which will incorporate the innovative Aspects system. Moreover, the first Smite 2 esports tournament finale will take place in Las Vegas from January 17th to 19th at the HyperX Arena.
