Lenovo has put to rest the swirling rumors about a PC port of Halo 5: Guardians. A promotional image for the Lenovo Legion Go S had hinted at the game's arrival on Steam, sparking excitement among fans. However, Lenovo's senior community manager, Ben Green, quickly clarified that the image was merely a mockup design, not a leak or confirmation of an upcoming release. He humorously dismissed any speculation about an announcement at the Xbox Developer Direct event with a simple, "No lol." Despite the image still being available on Lenovo's site, Green assured that it was being reviewed by their design team.

Currently, Halo 5: Guardians stands as the only mainline Halo game not available on PC, a notable absence since the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the platform. This gap is particularly frustrating for PC gamers eager to experience the full Halo saga without needing an Xbox One. Interestingly, a PC version of the Forge editor for Halo 5: Guardians was released in 2016, yet the complete game has not followed suit.
