The popular first-person shooter PvP experience on Roblox, Rivals, has just rolled out Update 9, bringing fresh excitement with the innovative Gunblade weapon and the new Bridge map. Developer Nosniy Games has shared detailed patch notes, spotlighting these additions as part of a smaller yet impactful update.

Rivals' community, known for its love of intense FPS action and diverse weaponry, is set to embrace the Gunblade enthusiastically. This unique weapon serves dual purposes as both a rifle for ranged attacks and a formidable blade for close combat, offering players strategic versatility on the battlefield. The new Bridge map complements this addition perfectly, thrusting players into immediate close-quarters combat on a concrete structure suspended in Seoul, crafted by creator @GreatGuyBoom. With minimal cover provided by concrete walls and a bus, the map promises intense, action-packed encounters.

The patch notes for Rivals Update 9 specifically focus on these new additions, with no mention of bug fixes, balance changes, or other quality-of-life improvements. Nosniy Games has consciously chosen to concentrate on the Gunblade and Bridge map, though they did make minor modifications to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi and renamed several other items. The developers are looking forward to the next major content update, which will introduce the highly anticipated Ranked feature.

NEW SPECIAL CHALLENGES!

The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
