Following the announcement of a delay to its eagerly anticipated release, Rockstar Games has released the second trailer for GTA 6 on May 6. This trailer gives fans a closer look at the next-gen rendition of Vice City and introduces us to its protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.

The official GTA 6 website provides detailed backgrounds for Jason and Lucia, shedding light on their motivations as they navigate the bustling streets of Vice City. The story synopsis reveals, "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."

Jason, a former soldier, is trying to escape his troubled past but finds himself entangled with local drug runners in Leonida Keys. His meeting with Lucia could be pivotal, and he hopes it leads to a brighter future.

Lucia, on the other hand, learned to fight from her father at a young age. Her rough upbringing led her to the Leonida Penitentiary, but upon release, she is determined to make smart moves to provide a better life for her mother, a dream they shared since their time in Liberty City. Fresh out of prison, Lucia sees a potential new beginning with Jason, as players will follow their journey alongside the city's vibrant characters.

A Conspiracy Theorist, Local Vice City Legend, Seasoned Bank Robber, and More

In addition to the protagonists, GTA 6 introduces several key characters that enrich the game's narrative. Among them is Jason's friend Cal Hampton, a conspiracy theorist who trusts everything he reads online. Despite his paranoia, he remains a loyal friend, helping Jason with his plans in the Keys.

Another notable character is Boobie Ike, a local legend who has transformed his street life into a legitimate empire, including real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. The game also hints at exploring the music industry with characters like Dre’Quan and the music duo Real Dimez.

On the criminal side, Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber always ready to take risks for big rewards. Brian Heder, a veteran drug runner, operates a smuggling business in the Keys and provides Jason with rent-free accommodation in exchange for help with local shakedowns.

Vice City, inspired by Miami, epitomizes "the glamour, hustle, and greed of America."
