To celebrate the launch of the "Nyras Prologue" demo for the Gothic 1 Remake, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled an exciting trailer. In this remake, players step into the shoes of a prisoner named Nyras, a departure from the original game's Nameless Hero. Despite this change, the core objective remains the same—survival in a brutal world.

The demo, released during the Steam Next Fest event, has already broken records for concurrent players across the Gothic series, as shown in the image below:

The showcased segment of the Gothic Remake boasts enhanced graphics, refined animations, and a combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue offers a glimpse into these improvements, it does not fully capture the extensive freedom of action and deep RPG mechanics that await players in the complete version of the game.

The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC platforms including Steam and GOG. Although an official release date has yet to be announced, anticipation continues to build among fans eager to explore this revamped classic.
