Pokemon GO enthusiasts have a thrilling update to look forward to: Gigantamax Kingler will make its debut on February 1 as part of the Max Battle Day event. Following the introduction of Dynamax and Gigantamax forms last year, which were met with eager anticipation, the developers at Niantic have been steadily rolling out these unique variants.

Gigantamax is a special form of Dynamax that not only magnifies a Pokemon's size and strength but also transforms its appearance and bestows it with exclusive G-Max Moves. While the main series games feature 32 Pokemon capable of Gigantamaxing, Pokemon GO currently includes six, with Gigantamax Lapras being the latest addition before Kingler.

During the Max Battle Day event, players can collect up to 1600 Max Particles, essential for participating in Pokemon GO's Max Battles. From 12 am to 5 pm on February 1, trainers will earn double the Max Particles while exploring and will need only a quarter of the usual distance to collect them. A special $5 ticket will offer 1 Max Mushroom, 25,000 XP, double XP from Max Battles, and boost the Max Particle collection limit to 5600. Additionally, a $7.99 box containing six particle packs will be available on the Pokemon GO Web Store.

While Max Battle Day marks one of February's highlights, it's not the only event on the calendar. Niantic has also announced the Lunar New Year event, running from January 29 to February 1.
