Genshin Impact's Summer Update: New Characters, Maps, and Outfits!
Genshin Impact just had a livestream today, sharing more info on the upcoming Version 4.8 of the game. First off, it’s titled ‘Summertide Scales and Tales.’ Yes, it’s dripping serious summer vibes. Next, the release date is set for July 17th. Now, keep reading to know what’s in store.Genshin Impact Version 4.8 Has A Lot Of NewAs part of the Genshin Impact Version 4.8 update, HoYoverse is dropping a fresh summer map, Simulanka. It’s a magical wonderland teeming with origami creatures and clockwork figures. Team up with Kirara, Nilou, Navia and the Wanderer to unravel mysteries, tackle crises and soak in the enchantment.You’re getting a new recruitable five-star character, Emilie. She’s a perfumer and a Dendro polearm user with a knack for dealing extra damage to Burning enemies. Keep an eye out for her debut and Yelan’s rerun in the latter half of Version 4.8 Event Wishes, with Navia and Nilou reruns kicking things off.Speaking of Nilou, she and Kirara are getting summer makeovers. Kirara’s new outfit is up for grabs if you collect enough ‘Excerpts of Bliss’ and ‘Jubilant Feathers.’ Nilou’s floral-themed attire will be on sale at a limited-time discount.Curious? What Else Is New? A Lot Of Things!The new land Simulanka is brimming with seasonal events and mini-games. Fancy shooting balloons from an aerial view in Boreal Flurry? Or want to snag toy figures in the claw-machine-like Flying Hatter’s Trick? Oh, and there’s also Metropole Trials, where you assemble two teams for some intense combat challenges.These mini-games earn you Starsail Coins, which you can trade for cool figurines to decorate “Good Shelves” throughout Simulanka. Complete the main stories and you can even snag these shelves as Furnishings for your Serenitea Pot.
