Recent leaks have unveiled exciting details about upcoming Genshin Impact character releases, adding to the anticipation surrounding future updates. Version 5.3 has already introduced Mavuika and Citlali, a double banner pairing, with the four-star Lan Yan slated for release during the Lantern Rite Festival.

The recent Special Program hinted at four new characters via silhouettes, promising further reveals within the next six months. A reliable leaker, DK2, has shed light on the release schedule, indicating these characters (from left to right in the silhouette image) will debut in Versions 5.7, 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6, respectively. Significantly, all four are reportedly 5-star characters.

Mizuki: A 5-Star Anemo Catalyst User Arriving in Version 5.4

The leak strongly suggests the second character shown (from the left) will arrive in Version 5.4. This silhouette aligns with the design of Mizuki, a 5-star character currently featured in the 5.4 beta. The lack of other 5-star characters in the beta further supports this prediction, making Mizuki the likely sole new 5-star addition in this update.

Mizuki, an Anemo catalyst user from Inazuma, could signal a return to this popular region in the main storyline. This aligns with HoYoverse's pattern of revisiting previously released regions four to five updates after a new nation's introduction.

Leaks also describe Mizuki as a support character whose abilities center around high Elemental Mastery. Beta gameplay suggests strong synergy with the recently released Pyro Archon, Mavuika. Assuming a first banner appearance in Version 5.4, players can anticipate Mizuki's arrival around mid-February.
