Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, especially without suitable weaponry. Fortunately, acquiring the Dogwood Village Bow early and without cost is achievable. This guide outlines the process.

Following your separation from Hans, your path to the wedding involves either blacksmithing or milling. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location, marked on your map, provides easy access to the bow. Even if you prefer the miller's path, this shortcut remains available.

The blacksmith's workshop is located in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. From Troskowitz, follow the westward road, then continue northwards. At the fork in the road (a smaller path to the west, main road ahead), turn right towards a cluster of trees. This inconspicuous area houses a small training ground.

Within this cluster, locate the target with arrows. Collect these arrows for free ammunition. To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, you'll find the Dogwood Village Bow. Additional resources, such as brew and mushrooms, are also available in this location. Once you've gathered your supplies, resume your quest.

Alternative Acquisition Methods

While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most potent ranged weapon. Considering its proximity to the free version, purchasing it is generally unnecessary. However, Vitek offers superior weapons, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy.

Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon enhances combat, especially given the game's difficulty settings. The melee combat style may not appeal to all players. A ranged option provides a valuable alternative.

After securing the bow, continue to Tachov to pursue the blacksmith profession (saving after forging a sword), or proceed to the miller to continue the main storyline. With the Dogwood Village Bow, you'll face combat with greater ease.
