Guillermo del Toro's passion for Frankenstein rivals even Dr. Frankenstein's own obsession. A recent Netflix preview showcased a first-look image of Oscar Isaac as the iconic mad scientist in del Toro's long-awaited adaptation (see above).

In a video message, del Toro revealed, "This film has been a lifelong dream—a project I've nurtured for 50 years, attempting to bring it to life for the past 20 to 25. Some might even say I'm a little obsessed with Frankenstein," he chuckled, gesturing to his extensive Frankenstein collection at his Bleak House.

A brief glimpse of footage was shown, featuring Isaac's Victor Frankenstein confronting Mia Goth, portraying a wealthy aristocrat, and Jacob Elordi as Frankenstein's monster—described as having long black hair, stitched gray skin, and piercing red eyes. This footage remains unavailable online.

Del Toro further explained, "Over the decades, the character has become intrinsically linked to my soul; it's essentially an autobiography. It doesn't get more personal than this."
