Doom Slayers Collection Rumored for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Return

The Doom Slayers Collection, a compilation of four classic and modern Doom games, may be making a comeback on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The collection, which was delisted in 2024, has recently received an ESRB "M" rating for these platforms, fueling speculation of a re-release. Notably, the rating excludes the Nintendo Switch and last-generation consoles.

The collection's potential return is further supported by a recent ESRB rating for Doom 64 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This is significant because the physical version of the Doom Slayers Collection included a download code for Doom 64. This pattern of re-releasing classic titles on current-gen consoles aligns with Bethesda's past practices, as seen with the previous delisting and subsequent re-release of Doom and Doom 2 as a combined package. Id Software's history of porting its games to newer platforms, exemplified by the Quake 2 port, also lends credence to this possibility.
