A PlayStation studio, recently formed from former Bungie employees, is reportedly developing a MOBA titled "Gummy Bears." Initial development began at Bungie, at least three years ago, but the project has since transitioned to this new Sony subsidiary.

This MOBA, designed for a younger audience than Bungie's previous titles, is said to uniquely borrow a key mechanic from the Super Smash Bros. franchise. Instead of traditional health bars, Gummy Bears will utilize a percentage-based damage system. High enough damage percentages will knock characters off the map, mirroring the Smash Bros. gameplay.

The game will feature three standard MOBA character classes: Attack, Defense, and Support, alongside multiple game modes. Its visual style is described as cozy, vibrant, and "lo-fi," a significant departure from Bungie's previous aesthetic choices. The aim is to attract a new, younger player base.

While the release date remains uncertain, the project's shift to a new PlayStation studio suggests continued development, albeit with a changed team and potentially a revised timeline.
