此次更新紧随PS5 Pro增强补丁发布之后，该补丁利用了索尼新款主机的升级配置。虽然《最终幻想7 重生》获得了PS5 Pro更新和即将推出的PC移植版，但与《最终幻想7 重制版》的“INTERmission”章节不同，本作不会推出任何DLC内容。史克威尔艾尼克斯表示，他们已将重点转向《最终幻想7 重制版》第三部的开发，并请玩家耐心等待更多相关信息。
在TGA上公布PC移植版后，《最终幻想7 重生》曾公布过部分PC配置要求，但史克威尔艾尼克斯此后对列表进行了一些调整。公司澄清了之前的PC配置说明，明确表示对于使用4K显示器的玩家，建议使用至少12GB至16GB显存的显卡。游戏仍需64位Windows 10或11操作系统、155GB固态硬盘存储空间以及至少16GB内存。处理器方面，推荐使用AMD Ryzen 5 5600或更高型号的多核CPU。显卡方面，由于游戏将使用深度学习超采样（DLSS）技术提升性能，《最终幻想7 重生》需要Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060或更高型号显卡。
