Final Fantasy XIV offers a free login campaign! From January 9th to February 6th, 2025, eligible players with inactive accounts can enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay. This opportunity coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, featuring new side quests and the continuation of the popular Hildibrand storyline.

This free period allows players to catch up on the Dawntrail expansion's content before the upcoming Patch 7.2 and 7.3 releases in 2025. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida recently shared a New Year's message hinting at the future direction of Dawntrail's main storyline.

The four-day free trial begins upon logging into the game launcher (PC, PlayStation, and Xbox). Eligibility requires a purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start. Accounts suspended for violating terms of service are ineligible. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

While the free login campaign runs, players can also participate in the Heavensturn event (ending January 16th) and anticipate Patch 7.16 (releasing January 21st), concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series. This is a great chance for lapsed players to return to Eorzea and prepare for the next major content updates.
