Fantasma, Dynabytes\' augmented reality adventure, adds new languages to coincide with Gamescom Latam
Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam – a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. This intriguing title recently received an update adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish planned for release in the coming months.
But what exactly is Fantasma? Players hunt and battle paranormal creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in augmented reality, requiring players to maneuver their phones to keep the Fantasma in view while tapping the screen to attack. Defeated creatures are then captured in special bottles.
Fantasma creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Sensors can be deployed to expand your search radius. The game also features a cooperative multiplayer mode for a more social gaming experience.
