Marvel Contest of Champions is gearing up for an exciting April, introducing the thrilling new champion, Spider-Woman. Alongside her, Kabam is set to launch another champion with a contrasting flair.

Here’s the Backstory of Spider-Woman in the World of Marvel Contest of Champions

Spider-Woman, originally named Jessica Drew, faced a dire situation in her youth when she was exposed to uranium near her home. In a desperate attempt to save her, her father, a brilliant geneticist, injected her with a concoction of spider DNA. After a long recovery period, Jessica not only overcame the initial adverse effects but also emerged with extraordinary spider powers, transforming her into Spider-Woman. You'll have the opportunity to add this dynamic new champion to your roster in MCOC starting from April 17th.

But before Spider-Woman makes her grand entrance, another formidable champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as one of their deadliest assassins, Lumatrix specializes in infiltration and elimination, utilizing his striking light-based powers.

What Else Is New?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with Carina suffering severe injuries after a confrontation with Ouroborus forces. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom aligns with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading Chronoserpent corruption. A new villain, Lotan, also enters the scene, adding to the chaos.

Starting on April 9th and running until May 7th, a new Event Quest called "Spy Games" will kick off. Black Widow will delve into the enigmatic Eidols, enlisting the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the mysteries.

Dark Phoenix makes a dramatic return in the Side Quest with "Dark Bounties." She has placed bounties on various Champions, challenging players to hunt them down and claim their rewards.

The Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector is back, giving players the chance to assemble their strongest Saga champions to battle for Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
