During the open beta weekend, players got to experience the initial 20-25 hours of Dune: Awakening along with various other features. This "stunlock exploit" occurs when a player uses quick knife attacks on an opponent who has depleted their stamina. The targeted player becomes unable to defend themselves, use abilities, or escape, leaving them in a constant state of stagger.
This issue gained widespread attention when popular streamers like Tyler1 and Shroud encountered it during their livestreams, highlighting the severity of the exploit to a broader audience.
Funcom Promises Fix Before Launch
During the same Global LAN Party livestream, Funcom's developers, including Dune: Awakening World Director Jeff Gagné and Lead Producer Ole Andreas Haley, acknowledged the stunlock exploit.
