Evil Lair Threatened, Castle Doombad Now Live on Android!
Castle Doombad is back! The popular tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014, returns as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay on Android. Developed by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1, this free-to-play title offers a fresh take on the classic experience.
Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single Castle Doombad remake. However, they cleverly split the project into two: Free To Slay for mobile and Castle Doombad Classic, a remastered version for Nintendo Switch and Steam (releasing later this year). A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.

The game includes the full original 70-stage campaign, daily challenges, and endless modes. Players can unlock and upgrade over 30 traps and collect over 100 items. A new cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you customize your Dark Lord and his lair with evil artifacts. Combine these with "Baddie Bonus" perks for strategic advantages.
A new roguelite mode, "Dr. Lord Evilstein's Roguevenge," features randomly generated castle layouts and collectible Nightmares, granting unique villainous powers.
