Nearly three decades after its initial release, Paul W.S. Anderson's cult classic film Event Horizon is set to expand its universe with a new prequel. IDW Publishing has announced Event Horizon: Dark Descent, a five-issue comic book series that delves into the chilling events preceding the film and uncovers the harrowing fate of the Event Horizon's original crew.

Penned by acclaimed writer Christian Ward, known for his work on Batman: City of Madness, and illustrated by Tristan Jones of Aliens: Defiance fame, the series promises a visually stunning and terrifying experience. Pip Martin, celebrated for That Texas Blood, will handle the colors, while the cover art will be crafted by Ward alongside Jeffrey Alan Love, Martin Simmonds, and Joshua Hixson.
