Star Wars Celebration brought thrilling news for fans of *The Mandalorian* and Grogu, revealing an exciting update for *Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run* set to launch alongside the new movie. This update, arriving on May 22, 2026, introduces a captivating choose-your-own-adventure storyline that will take players to iconic planets such as Tatooine, Bespin, Endor, and the newly added Coruscant. One of the standout features is the enhanced role for Engineers, who will now have the unique responsibility of caring for Grogu during the adventure.

While this update will follow "a different path" from the *The Mandalorian & Grogu* movie, it will still feature both Din Djarin and Grogu in new and engaging ways. The storyline kicks off with Hondo Ohnaka uncovering a deal on Tatooine between former Imperial officers and pirates, setting the stage for a high-stakes chase across the galaxy. Guests will join forces with Mando and Grogu to pursue the bounty in a dynamic, galaxy-spanning adventure.

In this update, Engineers will have a significantly more interactive role, as they will be responsible for communicating with Grogu. According to Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama, "Throughout the mission, we're going to be giving the engineers the opportunity to actually get to communicate with Grogu. So, we think it's going to be a ton of fun. There may be times when Mando has to deboard the Razor Crest and Grogu, left to his own devices, might get a little happy on the control panel. So, we love the idea of there being these fun little vignettes and moments where you're sort of on the comm with Grogu."

The choose-your-own-adventure aspect of the update promises to be a thrilling experience. Kalama explains, "There will be a critical moment in your adventure where you are strapped for time and have to make a lightning quick decision about which of our particular bounties we want to pursue. And that's going to be the sort of inciting incident that allows us to decide which are the different destinations we go to."
