EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends
Electronic Arts, known as EA, is currently running a playtest for their new game, City Life Game with Friends, as part of their The Sims Project Rene initiative. This playtest is designed to collect valuable feedback on the game's performance and player interaction. It's an exciting opportunity for Android users to get a sneak peek into what EA has in store for the future of The Sims series.
Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?
The playtest for City Life Game with Friends is exclusively available on Android devices. Your phone must be running at least Android 12 and have 4GB of RAM to participate. However, access isn't open to everyone, as it's limited to specific regions and participants.
The playtest period ends on April 4th, 2025, but the exact end times vary by region. It will conclude at 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest ends, the game will no longer be playable, and you'll need to uninstall it from your device.
Keep in mind, this playtest isn't a full game or a definitive version of what the final product will be. It's more of a glimpse into the direction EA might be taking with this project, showcasing their experimentation with various ideas.
What’s in Store?
Once you're part of the playtest, you'll have the chance to create a character that reflects your personal style and mood. The game's neighborhood is vibrant and full of activities. You can visit the Thrift Shop to find new outfits, relax at the Café, or participate in community events.
The game encourages players to collaborate on organizing block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. It emphasizes social interaction and community building through shared interests in art, music, and engaging conversations.
If you're intrigued and located in one of the eligible playtest regions, you can check out City Life Game with Friends on the Google Play Store. For those who can't participate, stay tuned for our next update on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th anniversary.
