Dungeonborne, the PvPvE action game drawing inspiration from the popular title Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Its creators have announced an end of support and server closure after less than a year. Low player activity and a lack of substantial updates ultimately led to the game's demise.

While the Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer searchable on the platform. The developers haven't publicly detailed the reasons for the shutdown, but the extremely low player count is clearly a significant factor. Concurrent player numbers dwindled to a mere 10-15 in recent days, having fallen below 200 since late 2024.

Dungeonborne's servers will be permanently deactivated on May 28th, bringing a premature end to the project. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game will ultimately remain unrealized in its full potential.
