Rumors are swirling around the highly anticipated Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, a fighting game rooted in Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga universe, potentially making its way to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Despite no official word from the developers, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, highlighted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, has set the gaming community abuzz. The tweet, which was removed shortly after, stated, "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," and confirmed a 12+ rating for the game.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights. It offers an expansive roster of characters, each equipped with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques that promise to deliver an unforgettable gaming experience.

In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, noting, "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

As excitement builds, Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders opened on April 24, with the console maintaining its price point at $449.99. The pre-order process was as frenzied as anticipated. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who secured a pre-order through the My Nintendo Store, indicating that release date delivery could not be guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
