"Deltarune's Exclusive Switch 2 Feature Revealed in Secret Room"
Deltarune is set to elevate the gaming experience with its exclusive features tailored for the Nintendo Switch 2. Announced during the latest Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, the game will not only include Chapters 3 and 4 but will also boast unique elements designed specifically for the next-gen console.
Special Room and More Exclusively for Switch 2
One of the standout features for the Switch 2 version is a unique room that utilizes the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Toby Fox, the developer behind Deltarune, shared in a Fangamer newsletter, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!" This innovative feature promises to offer an engaging and novel gameplay experience exclusive to the Switch 2.
For those playing on other devices, the special room will still be accessible but with a different control scheme. Moreover, players can seamlessly import their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune 1 and 2 into the new version, ensuring a smooth transition.
Deltarune Future Chapters Will Be Free
Deltarune is priced at $24.99, encompassing Chapters 1 through 4. Initially, Chapter 1 was released for free in 2018, followed by Chapter 2 in 2021. While it was previously announced that future chapters would be paid content, Toby Fox has exciting news for fans: upcoming Chapters will be added as free updates. Fox expressed, "But, it's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you'll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal."
Additionally, the game’s soundtrack will be available on Steam for $14.99, featuring over 150 songs from Chapters 3 and 4. Songs from future chapters will also be added at no extra cost, ensuring that fans get the most value out of their purchase.
Deltarune aims to offer an exceptional gaming experience, providing future chapters and additional content for free, making every penny spent well worth it. The game is set to release on June 5, 2025, coinciding with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
