In a groundbreaking move, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2) introduces a feature that enables players to bypass boss encounters without engaging in combat. During the latest episode of Koji Pro radio broadcasts on April 14, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima unveiled this inclusive feature designed to assist less experienced gamers.

Kojima detailed that in DS2, players can opt to press "continue" at the game over screen, which lets them move past a failed boss fight. By choosing this option, the game presents images and text descriptions of the battle, offering a visual novel-like experience. This approach ensures that players can still grasp the story's essence without the need for combat.

Hideo Kojima shared that DS2 is now approximately 95% complete. He likened the development stage to "10 o’clock (PM)" on a 24-hour clock, suggesting that only "2 hours" remain until the project's completion.
