Dead Cells Mobile: The Final Curtain Call

The era of free updates for Dead Cells Mobile is drawing to a close. After years of consistent content additions since 2018, the developers have announced the final updates, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," now available on Android. While the game remains playable post-update, no further content drops are planned. These final updates, however, deliver a significant, and slightly cursed, batch of new features.

What's Included in the Final Updates?

The updates introduce a quartet of new weapons: giant Sewing Scissors, the Misericorde (a sword dealing massive critical damage to low-health enemies, but cursing you if the kill isn't secured), the Anathema (a heavy ranged weapon that explodes on impact, also inflicting a curse on impact), and the Indulgence skill, which unleashes a powerful light beam and can partially cleanse curses.

New game modes, Speedrun and Boss Rush DIY, add a fresh challenge. Players can also customize their character with 40 new heads, freely swapped via a new NPC.

New Mutations and Enemies

The final updates also introduce a trio of new mutations: Cursed Flask (allows health flask use without consuming a charge), Damned Vigor (briefly prevents death to allow a killing blow), and Demonic Strength (boosts damage while cursed).

New enemies add to the challenge. The Sore Loser curses on death, the Curser unleashes guided cursed skulls, and the Doom Bringer can outright kill players accumulating over 50 curses.
