Crunchyroll, the anime streaming giant, has just released the cult-classic rhythm roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, on Android! Now titled "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer," this beat-driven adventure challenges you to move and attack in time with the music.

Originally developed by Brace Yourself Games and released on PC in April 2015, NecroDancer previously saw brief appearances on iOS (2016) and Android (2021). This Crunchyroll release brings the game back to both platforms with a wealth of new content.

What's Crypt of the NecroDancer About?

Step into the rhythmically-challenged shoes of Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter searching for her missing parent within a spooky, beat-infused crypt. As a roguelike, each playthrough offers a unique experience. Master 15 playable characters, each with distinct styles and challenges, while grooving to Danny Baranowsky's original soundtrack. Every move and attack must sync with the music—miss a beat, and you're done for! Face off against a cast of equally groovy enemies, from dancing skeletons to hip-hop-loving dragons.

More Than Just a Port

This mobile version isn't just a simple port; Crunchyroll and Brace Yourself Games have added significant enhancements. Enjoy remixes, fresh content, and even quirky Danganronpa character skins for anime fans. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support are also included. And for Hatsune Miku fans, DLC featuring the virtual pop star and the Synchrony expansion is slated for release later this year.
