To tap into this "festive fatigue," Clash Royale is hosting a London pop-up event at Boxpark Shoreditch. Attendees can shred unwanted Christmas cards in exchange for in-game rewards – a fun way to dispose of cards guilt-free while gaining valuable in-game resources.
This anti-Christmas sentiment extends beyond cards; Clash Royale's research reveals a widespread rebellion against holiday traditions. One in five people have declared Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" a musical villain, and over 20% openly complain about Christmas music or forgo traditional turkey dinners.
Adding to the festive chaos, Clash Royale is sending deliberately awful gifts (think socks, oven mitts, and nail clippers) to its content creators, such as Orange Juice Gaming. However, these gifts contain a surprise: Clash Royale-themed wrapping paper concealing in-game rewards for fans.
