Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has rolled out its inaugural update since launch. Sandfall Interactive shared on their Steam blog post dated April 30 that Hotfix 1.2.2 is now available, focusing primarily on bug fixes and localization enhancements.
The update addresses several in-game issues, including a soft-lock experienced when stunning the Grown Bourgeon and other soft-lock problems on the world map. Additionally, the patch includes improvements in the French, German, and Chinese localizations for certain game elements.
The developers have promised more fixes and improvements in upcoming updates. While these patches are crucial for enhancing gameplay, fans are eagerly awaiting more substantial updates, such as potential DLCs.
Earlier this week, Expedition 33's lead writer took to Instagram to address fans' queries about possible DLCs. Although no confirmation was given, the response was optimistic, highlighting the game's success as a good indicator for future expansions.

In a tweet on April 30, Broche encouraged fans to explore The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, describing it as "another great turn-based RPG that was also released last week, and made with love by an awesome team."
This recommendation came as a response to The Hundred Line’s co-director Kazutaka Kodaka, who earlier tweeted on April 28, praising Expedition 33 and inviting fans to try both games. Kodaka's series of tweets lauded Expedition 33 and emphasized the enjoyment of both RPGs.
Despite launching alongside other notable RPGs like Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line has received a "Very Positive" reception on Steam. Meanwhile, Expedition 33 continues to lead as the highest-rated game of 2025, achieving sales of over 1 million copies within just three days.
